Project THUMB

Project THUMB (Thurston High School/University of Michigan Blogosphere) links career-focused high school students to professionals working in fields related to the student’s career interests through meaningful, authentic, and technologically relevant correspondence. Project Thumb is supported by the ICS (International Communications & Simulations) project of the University of Michigan School of Education. Led by ICS Fellow Rory Hughes (2006 graduate of the School of Education’s MAC Teacher Certification Program) Project THUMB will also serve as a model for investigating how high school students can meaningfully connect with university students interested in exploring the educational potential of social technologies.
